Analytical Services

MTI has actively been researching and analyzing amino acids since the company's beginning in 1990.

With some of the lowest prices available, MTI offers 3-methylhistidine (3MH) analysis by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. Laboratory director Dr. John A. Rathmacher has done extensive research on 3MH, with over 10 referred publications and 20 abstracts, and can measure the amount of 3MH in either urine or plasma/serum. MTI also offers analytical services for physiological amino acids, ß-hydroxy-ß-methylbutyrate (HMB), homocysteine (HCYS), hormones (by ELISA) and protein.

	Laboratory/Equipment MTI is located in Ames, Iowa at the Iowa State University Research Park. The analytical laboratory is 2,500 square feet and contains all the equipment necessary to process and store specimens obtained.

	3-Methylhistidine Analysis MTI provides 3-methylhistidine (3MH) analysis. Laboratory director Dr. John A. Rathmacher has had extensive experience working with amino acids and specializes in the analysis of 3MH.
